Medical Direction - Volunteering Program
Fall 2020 Applications Now Open!
Note: Due to the pandemic, we have adapted into an online way-finding program. Apply to participate and learn more!
As the Fall semester is approaching, our volunteering program is slowly resuming. This program assists students in finding volunteering opportunities in various health-related institutions. Through this program, we hope that students can both give back to the greater Montreal community and gain insight into and appreciation for the various dimensions of patient care. We currently have partnerships with the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal General Hospital, The Alzheimer’s Society of Montreal, AIDS Community Centre Montreal, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada and many more.
As for the current COVID-19 situation, while all volunteering programs are suspended, the ‘pilot project’ has been initiated in the hospitals, which includes opening the way-finding positions at MGH and Glen site. The volunteers will be placed at main entrances and clinics to help guide patients and family members to their appointments. If you are interested or if you would like to know more about this program, please contact us!
